New terminal evokes the true Alaskan experience.
The C Terminal at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is one of the largest and most complex public projects completed in the state of Alaska.
The terminal is designed around a theme of dramatic juxtaposition: state-of-the-art technology set against a natural landscape. Throughout the terminal, trappings of modern airport technology were combined with abstracted natural features such as rock outcroppings, glacial walls, meandering pathways and ethereal lighting evocative of the Alaska landscape.
The terminal paid homage to Alaska’s long love affair with aviation and welcomes disembarking passengers, whether they’re embarking on the adventure of a lifetime or simply coming home.
