Rabinowitz Courthouse

Fairbanks, Alaska

Compassion, respect and dignity.

Located in the heart of the “Golden Heart City’ this building design features three interlocking architectural forms intended to express three unique facets of the building and its location: the formality of the courts, the traditions of Fairbanks building, and the area’s dynamic potential. Each of the three elements housed a discrete function — courtrooms, offices and entrance — but they all worked together to create a unique aesthetic.

The formal interiors evoked the exterior’s dynamic qualities reflecting the compassion, respect and dignity the justice system affords all participants.
