The first and only LDS Temple in Alaska, this facility provided spiritual services that were previously unavailable in the state. Granite-clad and classically styled, the building was designed to meet the standards of the worldwide church and the demands of life in Alaska.
A 5,500 sf, two-story entrance structure provided additional instruction and waiting rooms, servery, and an elevator. Snow melt systems were integrated into the exterior sidewalks, and in-floor heating served the interior spaces. The Temple building included spaces for both worship and instruction.
