Alaska Airlines Hangar

Anchorage, Alaska

Alaska Airlines is taking proactive steps to meet the evolving infrastructure needs of its hangar facilities for airside operations at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. With the planned inclusion of new Boeing 737-max aircraft to its fleet mix, larger models, as well as future considerations for wide body aircraft, the new 110,000 SF 2-bay hangar facility is being designed to meet Alaska Airlines’ fleet mix additions for the next 30-50 years.

The project began with a pre-development study conducted by MCG for consideration of site and facility options. The overall pre-development scope included space program development and validation, condition assessment of existing facility, site options and evaluations, preliminary concept designs, and findings report.
