McCool Carlson Green (MCG) Expands Interior Design Services

Cara-Mazurek-168McCool Carlson Green announces the appointment of Cara Mazurek, ASID, LEED AP BD +C as Director of Interior Design to manage and grow the firm’s interior design practice. Capitalizing on her holistic experience in design and construction, Ms. Mazurek will be an important member of the firm’s leadership team with a belief that material selection, building orientations, space planning, and furnishings should be contextual, transparent and a catalyst for healthy living.

Mazurek has over 11 years of interior design experience. She has an impressive portfolio of interiors work including the Alaska Neurology Center, Nikiski Fire Station 2 and Kodiak Electric Association. Her experience encompasses Space Planning and Construction Documentation, LEED Certification, Finish Research and Selection, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Selection and advocacy for the Materials Petal of the International Living Future Institute’s Living Building Challenge. Educated at The Art Institute of Portland and graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science, Interior Design degree with High Honors, she is beginning her term as President Elect for the America Society of Interior Designers  Alaska Chapter in October, and is a member of the International Living Future Institute.
